From Friday, 1st December Christmas Lunch is served! Expect delicious traditional fare made with the best local produce and the care and attention Gladstone’s Library is proud to be renowned for. Including tea / coffee, waitress service and a variety of vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options, try us for your work’s Christmas meal or that family gathering you’ve been planning! PLUS 3pm – 4pm throughout December (until we close for Christmas on Monday, 18th), we’re serving up a special Christmas Afternoon Tea including the usual selection of sandwiches and cakes, as well as festive treats and the option to add a festive glass of Prosecco!
Christmas Lunch, Christmas Dinner and Christmas Afternoon Tea must all be booked in advance by calling 01244 532350 or emailing [email protected]. A £5 per person booking deposit is essential and will be taken at the time of booking.

Gladstone's Library closes for Christmas on Monday, 18th December. This is the final night guests can book to stay. The Library will be open for check-out only (by 10am) on Tuesday, 19th December and there will be no access to the Reading Rooms. The Library and Reading Rooms open again at 12noon on Wednesday, 3rd January.
