We are pleased to inform you that we are now open for bookings for Founder’s Day.
As previously mentioned, we are delighted to welcome back to the Library The Rt Revd. Dr Rowan Williams. Dr Williams’ talk, ‘Divine Learning and Human Learning: Education and Self-Knowledge’ will focus on Gladstone’s commitment to the ideal of “divine learning” as an element in education.
12pm-2pm Lunch
2.15pm-4pm Founder’s Day talk
4pm-5.30pm Exhibitions open for all.
4pm-5pm Refreshments available to purchase in Food for Thought
5pm-6pm Drinks for those staying for dinner in the Gladstone Room
6pm -8pm Dinner with the Warden and Dr Rowan Williams (limited numbers available)
Ticket Options
Lunch with a ticket for Founder’s Day. Enjoy a light lunch in our Food for Thought restaurant before the Founder’s talk. £30 per person.
Thursday celebratory dinner ticket. Join Dr Rowan Williams and our Warden Andrea for a 3 course evening meal. £30 per person.
We are exclusively offering Founders Day tickets to Friends of the Library until the end of May. Numbers are limited so do book early!
Please note, tickets cannot be refunded or used for another event if ticketholders are unable to attend. All ticket purchases support us to care for the Library building and the collections it holds. As a charity, Gladstone’s Library receives no government funding, so all purchases, Gift Aid and donations, are deeply appreciated.
Please note that tickets for this event are e-tickets. Book online and have your ticket emailed directly to you.
A print and collect service is available to those without access to email facilities for a small charge to cover our admin costs. Call 01244 532350 or email [email protected] for more information. Printed tickets will be available to collect from Reception before the event.
