Digital Collections
Gladstone’s Library is committed to improving international public access to all its collections and events, using digital and online technologies to make as much as we can accessible to all.
Our name for this is 'Digital Gladstone', launched in 2018 as an umbrella under which we can gather all the Library's efforts to improve and expand access to our collections and events.
For several years now, the Library has hosted audio recordings of many events, maintained a blog, improved our website and social media, and, since 2018, the Library has also been working to digitise its most unique collections.
As of 2023 there are also two completed Digital Gladstone projects. You can read about these by clicking the links below:
Drawing Blood, Drawing Poison, Drawing Fire - a collaborative project between artist Simon Grennan, Gladstone's Library and Aura Libraries, the public library network in Flintshire.
Gladstone's Writing - a project to digitise the letters written by William Gladstone in Gladstone's Library's Glynne-Gladstone Archive, and his most annotated books in our Foundation Collection.
