Sceptical Christianity: A public lecture by Robert Reiss

3pm

The Robinson-Spong lectureship was set up five years ago and was designed to enable radical voices in Christianity to speak to what John Shelby Spong has termed as ‘believers in exile’ and to the many who prefer a Christianity based on critical thought rather than blind faith.

Robert Reiss is Canon Emeritus of Westminster Abbey. He knew John Robinson and has read and listened to Jack Spong. Reiss’ book, Sceptical Christianity, was written because he believes the Church is taking a wrong turning, unintentionally requiring its adherents to abandon their intellect in favour of unquestioned belief.

Tickets are priced at £12 which includes tea/coffee and scones after the lecture.
