Stella DuffyStella Duffy has written twelve novels, over forty short stories and ten plays. Her novels The Room of Lost Things and State of Happiness were both longlisted for the Orange Prize. The Room of Lost Things won Stonewall Writer of the Year 2008 while her latest novel Theodora won the same award in 2010. Her stories include several for BBC Radio 4. Stella adapted her novel State of Happiness for film for Fiesta/Zentropa. HBO have recently optioned both Theodora and its sequel The Purple Shroud for a television series. Stella has worked in improvised/devised theatre and comedy for over twenty-five years and has taught writing, improvisation and theatre for a number of organisations including the Arvon Foundation, the National Youth Theatre and Exeter University.
